Retail has been a significant part of Fishers working life, starting part-time at 14 working at Para Rubber in Masterton. A little later in life he experienced first-hand what it was like to be a small retailer owning a specialty toy shop in suburban Wellington.

During his corporate life he’s worked at two member organisations being Master Plumbers & Chartered Accountants and later with some of our largest retailers at Loyalty NZ.

He replaces Mark Johnston whom resigned to take up a new position at Weltec/Whitireia polytechnic. Johnston was chief executive for nearly two years.
