New Executive Director for NZSMI
Pharmacist, entrepreneur and former city councillor Scott Milne of Auckland has been appointed executive director of the consumer healthcare products industry body, the New Zealand Self-Medication Industry Association.
Mr Milne was active in Unichem and the NZ Pharmacy Guild as a member of the national marketing committee through the 1980s and Auckland Guild President in the early 1990s. He has been Advisory Board member of Zuellig Pharma.
He joined nine other pharmacists in the mid-1990s to form “Life Pharmacy” and was appointed general manager and inaugural Board chairman.
Mr Milne has spent the past three years at World Vision New Zealand as a consultant developing the “Visionaries Team” with primary responsibility for major donors, wealthy individuals, corporates and Trusts.
Mr Milne will replace current executive director, Tim Roper, when he retires in May after eight years in the role.
